If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him. - C.T. Studd

Become Involved
Working with Rainbows of Hope and children at risk / in crisis demands committed long-term workers who are willing to work in a ROH ministry team and to serve the overall church planting goals of the wider WEC team they will join. Long-term workers are regularly assisted in very practical ways by short-term workers. Because Rainbows of Hope is a ministry of WEC International, all workers in a ROH ministry are a part of WEC International and receive the same training as other WEC missionaries.
Our Current Fields Of Service

Through training, prayer, recruitment and assistance in project development Rainbows of Hope serves projects in the following countries:
*Due to security reasons not all countries are listed.
Matthew 9:35-38 and James 1:27 make it very clear that a person who wants to work with children in crisis first of all needs a calling, a motivation and a God-given burden to help children. Feelings of pity are not enough; pity quickly runs dry. A worker must have the love of Christ which motivates him to move from an emotional reaction to an active response.
An applicant must:
- Be at least 18 years old. There is no set upper age limit. Retirees are welcomed; no one is too old to be used by God to spread His Word and His love.
- Love the Lord Jesus Christ and have a desire to share Him with others.
- Believe the Bible to be God's inspired Word.
- Show maturity of character.
- Want to reach unreached peoples.
- Be flexible enough to adapt to others.
- Be able to trust God in every situation.
- Love children and have experience working with them.
- Have a desire to work alongside of and train local people in ministering to children at risk / in crisis.
Selection Procedure
Each applicant wishing to serve with WEC is carefully screened through the application process. This includes their testimony and call to missions, past ministry / work experience, doctrinal beliefs, and medical fitness. References, including from a person's home / sending church are also a very important part of this process.

Long Term Workers (2 years or more):
Individuals who apply for long-term service with ROH will be working with the Candidate Director at the nearest WEC Sending Base. In consultation with Rainbows of Hope, candidates wanting to work with children at risk / in crisis will complete a WEC Candidate Orientation as well as receive additional training in the Crisis Care Curriculum and any other recommendations from ROH or the field.
Candidate Orientation
After completing the application phase and being accepted as a candidate, candidates spend two to four months in the candidate orientation course. It is a time of integration into the WEC "family" as the candidates and the mission come to know each other. Candidates attend classes on topics that will help them prepare for life overseas and in ministry. They also research the country they are going to, are involved in the life of the sending base, assist with practical work, and get to know how WEC operates. During this period candidates are responsible to the Candidate Director.
